Mishustin called for the introduction of standards of support for SVO fighters in social institutions

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has stated the need for urgent implementation of uniform standards of support for special military operation (SVO) fighters in the work of the country's social institutions. He announced this on April 9 in an address to the participants of the extended board meeting of the Ministry of Labor.

"To improve the quality of rehabilitation of our fighters, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection has already developed uniform standards for such support. Now we need to organize their rapid implementation into the daily activities of social institutions," the head of government stressed.

He also noted that providing military veterans with disabilities with technical means of rehabilitation should be as convenient and understandable as possible. According to him, this process is "under the special control of the Cabinet of Ministers."

"Maximum efforts are required from the entire social sphere, both at the federal level and in the regions, so that every veteran and every family of a participant in their military receive all necessary assistance in a short time and in full," Mishustin said.

He also stressed the importance of focusing on citizen feedback.

Earlier, on March 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the establishment of the State Council commission for the support of special operations veterans and their families. The tasks of the new body will include coordinating the work of various departments and organizations on the adaptation of military veterans to civilian life, monitoring regional measures to support participants in the special operation, as well as developing additional measures to support military personnel and their families.

On the same day, the head of state instructed to develop a basic regional standard for the provision of social assistance to SVO fighters. For example, the Russian leader instructed to extend the activities of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation to family members of the missing special operation participants.
