The architecture of the business program of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which will be held from June 18 to 21, 2025, has been published. This year's theme of the Forum is "Shared values – the basis for growth in a multipolar world", reflecting key changes in the system of international cooperation and emphasizing the role of universal values in ensuring sustainable economic development.

"The world is undergoing tectonic shifts: not only the economic geography is changing, but even in a sense the economic structure, the system of public relations in a number of countries and even interstate associations are changing. The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is becoming not just a place for dialogue, ideas, and solutions, but also a space where new meanings and even practices are being formed that can shape the contours of the future. Today, it is important not only to record changes, but also to initiate them and set their direction. And all this should take place in the format of a trusting, meaningful and partnership dialogue," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the SPIEF Organizing Committee.

The architecture of the business program is built around four key semantic blocks, each of which reveals the side of global and national transformation.

The central block "Development Economics: Ensuring growth" reflects the logic of new economic thinking. It includes two major areas: "The Global Economy: a new platform for global growth", which focuses on the sustainability of macroeconomic models, investment strategies, expansion of logistics routes and the formation of new markets. The prospects for international trade and supply chain transformation, the role of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as regional and industry-specific economic solutions will be considered. An important place is occupied by the direction "Russian economy: a new quality of growth", which focuses on new opportunities and challenges for the Russian economy in the context of global changes. The discussion will cover the issues of creating an effective economic model for the new cycle, increasing the sustainability of domestic industries and developing priority areas such as industry, agriculture and high technology. This area will also address the issues of Russia's innovation potential and its integration into global economic processes, as well as strategies to attract investment and strengthen the domestic market.

These topics are directly related to technological sovereignty and innovation. The Technology: Striving for Leadership course will bring together discussions on key vectors of technological development – from the introduction of AI and automation to independence in the field of microelectronics, new materials, energy and cybersecurity. The focus is on the formation of a stable and competitive technological base capable of ensuring long–term economic and social development.

The development of technology is impossible without a stable system of values and reliance on cultural identity. That is why the third direction – "Environment for life" – is devoted to issues of information sovereignty, cultural code, social consolidation and interstate humanitarian cooperation. Participants will discuss how meanings are formed and transmitted in the media environment, what are the mechanisms of trust in the digital age, and what role traditions and historical memory play.

The logical continuation of this topic will be the direction "Man in a new world", which focuses on the quality of life, health, education, the well–being of families, the development of the urban environment and the formation of opportunities for self-realization. Special attention will be paid to supporting youth and women in the economy, new employment formats and human capital management as the most important resource of the future.

The agenda will be complemented by industry and international events that have already established themselves as points of attraction for the professional community. These include the SCO and BRICS business forums, the Business G20 Forum, the Small and Medium–Sized Entrepreneurship Forum, the Creative Industries Forum, and the Drug Safety Forum.

The traditional format of business dialogues with representatives of China, India, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, ASEAN, the CIS and the EAEU will expand bilateral and multilateral contacts, present investment projects and discuss promising areas of industrial and scientific cooperation.

There will also be business breakfasts with the participation of leaders of major companies, project presentations, public interviews, signing agreements and an exhibition program.

In addition, this year's SPIEF will host the General Assembly of the Organization of Asian and Pacific News Agencies (OANA), as well as the International Youth Economic Forum "Day of the Future", which will be partnered with Friends for Leadership, accredited by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), uniting the younger generation of leaders and entrepreneurs. and experts from more than 100 countries, created by the Roscongress Foundation following the results of the XIX World Festival of Youth and Students in 2017.

SPIEF 2025 is designed not only to reflect the current state of the global agenda, but also to become a space where ideas are born, strategies take shape, and processes that can change the future are launched.
