The Investigative Committee opened a case on the fact of the killing of civilians in the village of Guevo in the Kursk region by the Ukrainian Armed Forces

Law enforcement officers have opened a criminal case against militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the killing of civilians in the village of Guevo, Kursk region. This was announced on April 9 by the official representative of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia Svetlana Petrenko.

According to a local resident, in March 2025, his father and uncle were killed in the village of Guevo as a result of an explosive device detonated by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He also reported the dropping of explosive devices on residential buildings and looting by Ukrainian military personnel.

In addition, in April of this year, a targeted shelling of citizens was recorded during the evacuation, as a result of which six people were killed.

On this fact, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under paragraphs "b" of part 3 of Article 205 ("Terrorist act") and paragraphs "a", "c" of part 3 of Article 356.1 of the Criminal Code ("Looting").

"During the preliminary investigation, all representatives of the armed formations of Ukraine involved in these crimes will be identified and brought to justice," Petrenko said.
