In Transnistria, the state of emergency in the economy was extended until May 9.

The Supreme Council (Parliament) of the unrecognized Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR) extended the state of emergency in the economy until May 9. This was announced on April 9 by the Government of the PMR.
"The economic emergency has been prolonged due to the energy crisis caused by a reduction in natural gas supplies to the republic," the Cabinet's Telegram channel says.
The government noted that the extension of the special legal regime is necessary to ensure the stability of the internal socio-economic situation in the PMR.
On February 4, former Moldovan president and leader of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) Igor Dodon said that the energy crisis in the unrecognized republic was created by Kiev and Chisinau, which seek to provoke a humanitarian catastrophe on the left bank of the Dnieper River.
Gas supplies from Russia to Moldova and Transnistria stopped on January 1 due to Ukraine's refusal to extend the transit agreement through its territory and the Moldovan side's debts to Gazprom. In mid-January, it became known that Russia was ready to provide assistance to the PMR and begin humanitarian gas supplies.
