Efremov's lawyer spoke about the actor's health problems.

Honored Artist of Russia Mikhail Yefremov, who was released from prison on parole, has health problems and urgently needs qualified treatment. On April 9, Yuri Padalko, the actor's lawyer, told Izvestia.

"It's hard for him to talk, it's hard for him to breathe, he urgently needs to get qualified and sufficient treatment," the lawyer said.

Also, according to him, the actor respects the media, but abandoned the idea of a press conference due to his health condition.

Padalko noted that there are "good doctors" in the colony, but there are no devices to cure Yefremov.

The court took into account the exemplary behavior of the artist and decided on parole.

Padalko said earlier in the day that after treatment, Yefremov would return to his acting career. He also expressed the hope that the actor's life will turn out well in the future.

On March 24, the Alekseevsky District Court of the Belgorod region granted the artist's petition for parole. Yefremov was banned from driving vehicles and changing his place of residence without warning until the end of the actual term.

The actor served half of his sentence and has been eligible to apply for early release for almost a year. Without him, the 61-year-old actor, who is experiencing health problems, would not have been able to be released before 2027.
