The Music of Victory project has been launched in Russia

On the eve of the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Victory Music project was launched in Russia. You will be able to hear the songs on popular radio stations and on VK sites. This was reported by Izvestia on Wednesday, April 9.

Within the framework of the project, well-known modern performers will present classical military songs, adding new arrangements and interpretations to them. The leader of the Uma2rman group, Vladimir Kristovsky, spoke about his grandfather, who returned from the war with the Order of the Red Star, becoming a symbol of courage and perseverance.

"He was wounded in the bombing of the airfield and returned from the war with such a wounded leg. Despite the fact that he lived with a wand, he did not lose his presence of mind. We have a lot to learn," said the musician.

People's Artist of the Russian Federation Nikolai Rastorguev said that his relatives also took part in the fighting.

"My mother's older brothers fought in the war, her older brother, Uncle Kolya, died, he was born in 1924, died in 1943," he said.

Producer and composer Igor Matvienko emphasized the importance of caring for the musical heritage of the war years.

"We try to take care of the musical material," he said.

It is noted that the Music of Victory project is being implemented with the support of the VKontakte social network. All funds from the audition will be used to help veterans of the Great Patriotic War and participants in the special military operation (SVO).
