Two children died in the collapse of a part of an apartment building in the Zaporizhia region.

Two children were killed and four more people were injured when part of an apartment building collapsed in the village of Novopoltavka in the Zaporizhia region. This was announced on April 9 by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.

"Two entrances of a two-storey residential building collapsed in the village of Novopoltavka. Eight apartments were damaged, of which six were destroyed," the department's Telegram channel says.

Currently, employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations are continuing to sort through the rubble. 50 specialists and 17 pieces of equipment are working at the scene.
