- Lavrov pointed to attempts by the West to kill the Russian Federation's resolution on countering Nazism.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Wednesday, April 9, pointed to attempts by the West to basely destroy Russia's resolution on combating the glorification of Nazism, adopted by the UN General Assembly.
The Russian Foreign Minister pointed out that the country has been promoting such a resolution every year for quite some time, and the overwhelming majority of states support the document.
"Over the past couple of years, the West has been rather sneakily, I would say, trying to kill this resolution by introducing amendments that equate Nazism and the crimes of Nazism with what is happening as part of a special military operation," Lavrov said in an interview with TASS.
He noted that half or even the whole of Europe should not be allowed to unite against Russia "under the banners of Nazism and neo-Nazism."
Sergei Naryshkin, director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, said on March 26 that EU countries are trying to rewrite the history of the twentieth century so that the younger generation believes that Russia was not the victor of Nazism in World War II. According to him, the EU states have adopted the propaganda techniques of the Third Reich to intimidate the European philistine with the alleged Russian "threat."
