NMG talked about plans to launch an application for creating short videos

In the near future, the National Media Group (NMG) plans to launch a new Storis application in a test mode, designed to display professional short content in a vertical format. Svetlana Balanova, CEO of NMG, told about this on April 9.

According to her, unlike existing social networks, which mainly offer user-generated content, the new application will offer exclusively professionally created short videos. She stressed that there is currently no such offer on the Russian market.

Balanova clarified that at the beginning, specially adapted series of the Domashny TV channel will be presented, which will be reformatted for the vertical format and reduced to short episodes lasting about one and a half minutes. In the future, she added, it is planned to add other formats, such as reality shows and series from other channels.

The CEO of NMG also said that the new business model will focus primarily on women, considering them as the main users.

"It's a different business model altogether. Ours will be designed for professional content with a very clear duration and target audience. First of all, we focus on women and see them as the main users," she said in an interview with RBC.

Balanova shared her plans to create an NMG youth project for an audience of 12 to 20 years old. The series with the working title "Eurydice" will be specially adapted for social networks and will be released later under the title "Our Garage". According to her, it will be professional content with elements of reality and vlog, and its monetization will be carried out through the integration of sponsors and advertising opportunities of social networks.

Moreover, the media will allow young film and television documentaries to prove themselves.
