Soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces hit a foreign-made howitzer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye region

Calculations of Zala multifunctional unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and Lancet barrage ammunition from the Novorossiysk airborne unit of the Dnepr group of forces hit a foreign-made howitzer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Zaporizhia region. This was announced on April 9 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The ministry clarified that during combat duty in the framework of counter-battery warfare, crews fly deep into enemy territory in the Orekhovsky direction of a special operation to search for and destroy enemy long-range artillery.

It is noted that reconnaissance and target search are also carried out in conditions of interference from the electronic warfare (EW) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. So, during a flight over enemy territory, the operator of a reconnaissance UAV discovered, at a distance of about 30 km, a disguised howitzer of foreign manufacture, which at a certain time fired from a forest plantation at the civilian population of the Zaporizhia region.

After the target was detected, its coordinates were immediately transmitted to the command post. The Lancet crew skillfully made an approach to the target, and the Zala reconnaissance UAV recorded the defeat of the enemy's artillery system disguised in a forest plantation.

"If possible, we are working with Lancet barrage ammunition, correcting artillery fire," said the commander of a platoon of attack UAVs with the call sign Sokol.

On April 7, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation showed footage of the combat work of units of the North group of forces to eliminate armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Sumy region. The Russian military, using FPV drone calculations, managed to disable the American Abrams tank.
