The crew of the 152-mm howitzer D-20 artillery unit of the Dnepr group of forces destroyed the control center for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kakhovka area of the special military operation (SVO). This was announced on April 9 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

Russian intelligence officers discovered the enemy's points and immediately transmitted the coordinates to the gunners, who, in turn, attacked the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The enemy has become more active. We repeatedly conduct counter-battery warfare throughout the day and destroy UAV control points. In other words, FPV drones have become more active, and Baba Yaga-type drone launch points have become more active. Our intelligence calculates these points, and, accordingly, we directly hit them as fire trucks," said a senior battery officer with the call sign Dragon.

The gunners are working daily, suppressing enemy air attacks, as well as destroying artillery systems, weapons, military equipment and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the department noted.

On April 8, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that a 152-millimeter Hyacinth-B cannon of the 3rd Combined Arms Army of the Southern Group of Forces destroyed a D-30 howitzer and a dugout with AFU personnel near the village of Grigorovka in the Seversky direction.
