Pacific Fleet missile boats conducted practical firing in Peter the Great Bay


The R-18 and R-19 missile boats of the Primorsky Flotilla of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) conducted practical artillery firing at sea and air targets as part of planned combat training in Peter the Great Bay. This was reported on April 9 in the press service of the Pacific Fleet.
It is specified that in the course of completing their tasks, the sailors managed to destroy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), unmanned boats remotely controlled by a simulated enemy, as well as mock-ups of naval mines.
76.2mm AK-176 artillery pieces and 30 mm AK-630 cannons were used in the shooting. In addition, during the exercise on the organization of air defense of boats, the setting of electronic jamming was practically worked out.
After completing combat training exercises, the crews of the missile boats conducted survivability training.
On March 31, the press service of the Pacific Fleet reported that the flagship of the Pacific Fleet, the Russian Guards missile cruiser of the Nakhimov Order Varyag, conducted military exercises in the waters of the Sea of Japan.
