Overchuk spoke about the details of the pilot flight of a freight train from Russia to Pakistan

The pilot flight of a freight train from Russia to Pakistan will allow to identify "bottlenecks" to be worked on further. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk told Izvestia.

"The opening of a direct freight railroad connection between Russia and Pakistan is happening for the first time in modern history. While there is an assessment of the potential cargo base in export and import communication, there is interaction with potential shippers, they agree on transportation rates. The pilot voyage will allow to identify bottlenecks to be worked on," he said.

According to him, cooperation between Russia and Pakistan lays a systemic foundation for increasing mutual trade, as well as creates conditions for the development of transport and logistics connectivity of the economies of the north and south of Eurasia, integration of the markets of the states that have become new centers of global economic growth.
