Services told of a doubling in demand for debt collectors

The number of vacancies in the field of debt collection doubled last year and increased by a quarter in the first three months of 2025, recruitment services told Izvestia.

In 2024, job offers for specialists in the field of collection or collectors were published 106% more than in 2023, follows from the data of a joint study of the service "Work.ru" and collection agency ABK. The number of such vacancies has more than doubled every year for the past three years, it added.

In the first three months of 2025, the demand for staff in this segment of the labor market increased by a quarter, added the SuperJob service.

Most often specialists in the field of collection are sought in Yekaterinburg, Kurgan, Rostov-on-Don, Moscow, Saratov and Ufa. At the end of 2024, women (63%) responded to vacancies of debt collectors almost 2 times more often than men (37%).

"Among the key skills for such specialists employers most often indicate responsibility, trainability, stress resistance, debt collection, record keeping, control of accounts payable, work with documents and negotiation," the study says.

A quarter of job seekers who sent responses to foreclosure vacancies had no work experience. Demand for collection specialists and credit specialists in SuperJob called "wave-like" - first the number of vacancies for those selling loans increases, and a few months later - for collection specialists. The increase in demand for credit specialists came in December 2024, so at the beginning of the year there is an increase in demand for collectors.
