Previously, foreign citizens are not on the list of those killed and injured in the roof collapse at the Dominican nightclub. This was reported to Izvestia on April 9 at the Russian Embassy in the Dominican Republic.

"According to preliminary information from the Dominican police, there are no foreign nationals among the dead or injured," the diplomatic mission said.

The embassy clarified that the head of the embassy's office in Punta Cana is in contact with representatives of local law enforcement agencies.

In addition, the newspaper Listin Diario reported that the star of the Dominican music scene, merengue performer Rubby Perez died as a result of the accident.

"The merengue performer eventually couldn't get out alive from the wreckage of the Jet Set nightclub, where he was performing early on Tuesday morning when the roof collapsed. He was 69 years old," the publication clarified.

The collapse of the roof of a nightclub in the Dominican Republic became known the day before. The cause of the collapse of the nightclub roof has not yet been established. The incident occurred during the merengue singer Perez's party.
