Three people were injured in an accident in Cheboksary

Three people, including a child, were injured in a three-car collision in Cheboksary, Chuvash Republic. This was announced on Tuesday, April 8, by the press service of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city.

According to the agency, the accident occurred on April 8 at about 20:40 local time (coincides with Moscow time) on Michman Pavlov Street. The initiator of the accident, presumably, was the driver in a state of alcoholic intoxication. It was previously established that the driver of a Mercedes-Benz crashed into a LADA Granta, which stopped before entering the courtyard, and drove into a Kia Rio.

As a result of the incident, the driver, a female passenger, and a five-year-old child sought medical help.

The alleged culprit of the accident was found to have alcohol in the vapors of his exhaled air at a concentration of 0.920 mg/ l, the agency said. Traffic police officers are conducting an investigation into the incident.

On April 8, two trucks collided in the Svobodnenskiy district of the Amur region, as a result of which, according to preliminary data, both drivers were killed. The ministry clarified that the accident happened in the morning on the Blagoveshchensk—Svobodny highway. As a result of the accident, one of the vehicles caught fire.
