St. Petersburg Hockey club (HC) SKA announced the departure of forward Evgeny Kuznetsov. This was announced by the club's press service on Tuesday, April 8.

It is specified that the contract with the 32-year-old striker, designed for four years, will be terminated by mutual agreement.

"The SKA Hockey Club thanks Evgeny for his performances in St. Petersburg and wishes him good luck in his future career!" the Telegram channel said.

Evgeny Kuznetsov joined the Army team before the start of the current season. In the regular season, he scored 37 points in 39 games. In the playoffs, the forward took part in six meetings, scoring three goals. Kuznetsov is a two-time world champion and the 2018 Stanley Cup winner.

On the same day, it became known that SKA St. Petersburg striker Ivan Demidov would become a member of the Montreal Canadiens National Hockey League (NHL) team. It is noted that the rights to the player in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) will remain with the Russian club: if he fails to gain a foothold in the NHL, he will return to St. Petersburg.
