Over 11 km of gas networks will be rebuilt in Moscow by the end of 2025. This was announced on Tuesday, April 8, by Pavel Chichikov, Deputy General Director for Investment Project Implementation at Mosgaz.

According to him, in conditions of dense urban development and numerous underground utilities, the removal of gas pipelines from construction areas requires special efforts. The relocation of gas pipelines makes it possible to free up space for the construction of new buildings and create conditions for further infrastructure development, writes RT.

"It is important that all work is carried out without reducing the pressure in the network, and the looped system of gas pipelines allows not to interrupt the gas supply to consumers," the Moscow city News agency quoted Chichikov as saying.

He noted that the work on the re-laying of gas pipelines will affect new metro stations. Thus, it is planned to transfer 2.7 km long gas networks, which will contribute to the further development of the metro. As part of the development of the road network in 2025, specialists will carry out the removal of gas pipelines with a total length of 2.2 km, Moscow 24 reports.
