The State Duma intends to limit the sale of microdots in apartments. This was announced on April 8 by Svetlana Razvorotneva, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and Communal Services, at the All-Russian Housing Congress at Sirius University.

"We discussed the fight against microdots at the last meeting of our committee. We have a bill that was passed in the first reading in the last convocation [of the State Duma]. There was indeed a ban on the sale of shares if they amount to less than an individually isolated room," TASS quoted Razvorotneva as saying.

She noted that the State Duma is proposing initiatives aimed at eliminating microdots. According to Razvorotneva, the State Duma plans to resume work on the draft law, which was adopted in the first reading during the last convocation. The law provides for amendments to the Housing and Civil Codes.

Sources in the Cabinet of Ministers informed Izvestia on the same day that all apartment buildings in Russia were included in a single database. The relevant amendments to the draft law "On Amendments to the Housing Code of the Russian Federation" were approved by the government commission on legislative activity.
