Igor Pchelin, Chairman of the Steps Foundation for the Prevention of Socially significant Diseases, said on April 8 that HIV infection has no specific symptoms. Only tests can show its presence.
"A person can carry HIV without symptoms. And any worries are just another reason to take the test," Pchelin explained in an interview with Radio 1.
He added that an HIV test should be taken at least once a year, and for a risky lifestyle — every six months.
On March 20, foreign citizens who arrived in the DPR, LPR, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions for more than 90 days without HIV test results were required to submit it by June 10, RT notes.
