In the Trans-Baikal Territory, a criminal case has been opened on negligence over a fire that destroyed an uninhabited house and outbuildings in the village of Zudyra in the Chernyshevsky district. The regional SU of the Investigative Committee of Russia reports this in its Telegram channel.

"A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence"). The causes of the fire, the damage caused and other circumstances are being established," the report says.

The regional Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment writes in its Telegram channel that there are five residential buildings in total on the territory of the village of Zudyra. The fire did not reach them, but destroyed the outbuildings related to them — baths, garages, a barn, a vegetable garden, a fence.

The sixth house, abandoned and uninhabited, which lacked windows and doors, also burned down. The building was partially converted into a garage, writes ChitaMedia news agency.

The fire has now been extinguished, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment said. Residents whose property was damaged in the fire were offered to move to the village of Zilovo, but all refused.

Earlier in the day, a major fire broke out in Chita. Several buildings and dry grass caught fire on Begovaya Street, the fire area was 1.8 thousand square meters. m.

On April 7, a regional emergency regime was introduced in connection with wildfires in the Trans-Baikal Territory.
