Musk criticized Trump's trade adviser

The US president's trade and manufacturing adviser, Peter Navarro, is an idiot, he's telling an obvious lie. This statement was made on April 8 by American billionaire, head of the U.S. Department of Public Efficiency (DOGE) Elon Musk.
This is how the businessman reacted to Navarro's statement that Tesla, owned by Musk, buys a significant part of the components for electric vehicles from foreign suppliers.
"Navarro is really an idiot. What he says is an obvious lie. The share of American components in Tesla cars is the largest on the market. Navarro is dumber than a bag of bricks," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
Earlier in the day, it was reported that Musk personally appealed to the American leader Donald Trump with a request to cancel high duties on goods from other countries. It was noted that such a tariff decision would also harm Tesla.
On April 2, Trump announced large-scale trade measures: base tariffs of 10% are being introduced for all products supplied to the United States. For the EU, this figure has been raised to 20%, and for China — to 34%. On April 4, China imposed duties of 34% against the United States.
