A roof collapse at a club in the Dominican Republic killed 27 people. This was reported on April 8 by El Democrata Multimedios with reference to the director of the Center for Emergency Situations (COE) Juan Manuel Mendes.
"The death toll after the collapse of part of the Jet Set nightclub structure has increased to 27," the publication's page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
It is specified that 134 people were injured as a result of the incident, they were taken to medical institutions. Search and rescue operations are continuing.
