Drivers of two trucks were killed in a head-on accident on the Amur highway


Two men were killed in a truck collision in the Svobodnenskiy district of the Amur region. This is reported by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.
The accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon, April 8, on the 123rd km of the Blagoveshchensk–Svobodny highway. Two Scania tractors collided head-on, after which one of them caught fire.
Both drivers died as a result of the accident. One of them is a man born in 1973, the identity of the second deceased is being established.
According to PriamurMedia news agency, three major accidents involving trucks occurred in the region in the first half of today. People died in one of them, and one person was injured in the other two accidents.
According to preliminary data from the traffic police, all the cars involved in the accident were loaded, which, at high truck speeds, led to more serious consequences in a head-on impact. Police officers are investigating all the circumstances of the car crashes.
