The matte finish of the body requires special care, as it is more "moody" than that of glossy cars. Alexander Smith, the owner of the Carbase chain of child care centers, told about this on April 8.

"The main difference between the matte color and the classic glossy is the features of the varnish itself. Matte surfaces have a special structure that diffuses light evenly, creating an effect of softness and muted colors. It looks incredibly stylish, but it is precisely this structure that makes the matte paint less resistant to damage," Rossiyskaya Gazeta quotes Smith as saying.

The specialist explained that matte coatings are not amenable to polishing — this procedure will lead to shiny spots. Minor scratches or scuffs can only be eliminated by painting the entire item. At the same time, the matte body color is also sensitive to dirt, as well as gloss.

A matte machine needs to be washed more often than a regular one, and use soft sponges and special shampoos so as not to damage the protective layer. To keep the car with such a coating, it is recommended to protect the body with vinyl or polyurethane film, the expert advised.

On April 4, auto expert Alexey Kryukov said that repainting car body parts due to small chips and scratches is not worth it for a number of reasons. When selling a car, this will raise questions from a potential buyer who suspects the seller of concealing the car's involvement in an accident. At the same time, with native paint, the price of the car on the "secondary market" is higher.
