Ukraine and Belgium discussed the possibility of joint arms production during the visit of Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever. This was announced on April 8 by President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.

"Today, representatives of ten Belgian defense companies are in Ukraine together with Prime Minister Bart De Wever. We talked about the joint production of weapons and investments in production on the territory of Ukraine — this is something that will work for the whole of Europe. Today, there are three agreements with Belgian manufacturers," Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel.

The Ukrainian leader also expressed gratitude to his European counterpart for the new defense package in the amount of €1 billion.

On the same day, the Minister of National Defense of the Republic, Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh, said that Poland was ready to organize logistical support for the truce in Ukraine. He also recalled that about 95% of military aid supplied by Western countries enters Ukraine through Poland.
