Young Russians dream of becoming teachers, IT specialists, and doctors. Moreover, 42% of parents are already saving or planning to start saving for their children's education. This is stated in a study by the companies "Sberbank Life Insurance" and "Work.<url>", which was reviewed by Izvestia on April 11.

According to the study, 17% of the surveyed children in Russia dream of becoming IT specialists or roboticists (in 2024 this figure was 15%), 13% want to become doctors (in 2024 — 9%), and 10% aspire to creative professions such as an artist or designer (6% in 2024 year). Also, 9% of children expressed a desire to become bloggers (4% in 2024), and 6% — drivers.

5% of Russian children are interested in the legal field, police work and the teaching profession (the same as last year). Slightly less than 4% of children dream of a career related to travel, acting, scientific activity or military service. 3% of respondents want to devote themselves to music, fashion, design, aviation or the search for missing people. 2% of children dream of becoming an astronaut.

The majority of Russians (87%) support their children's professional dreams. Only 13% of respondents disapprove of the choice of their sons and daughters (9% in 2024). At the same time, men and women are unanimous in their answers to this question.

20% of the survey participants reported that they are already saving money for their children's education (22% last year). Another 22% plan to start saving in the future (20% in 2024), and 58% are not going to save for this purpose. Men are more likely than women to say that they are saving: 23% versus 17% (last year — 26% versus 20%).

"On the eve of Cosmonautics Day, we were curious to find out who little Russians see themselves as. The results of our research demonstrate the desire of parents to help children make their dreams come true," summed up Igor Kobzar, Vice President of Sberbank, CEO of Sberbank Life Insurance.

In January, it was reported that every second Russian surveyed draws up a financial plan for the year. This was stated in the results of the <url> financial marketplace research. At the same time, 45% of respondents said that they plan monthly expenses and income, reserving the right to adjust the strategy during the year.
