In Yakutia, two residents of the Nyurbinsky district were arrested, accused of using slave labor with the use of violence. This was announced on April 8 by the press service of the regional directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

According to the investigation, the defendants held two men in their farm. It is specified that one of the workers was kept in improper conditions in a cowshed, where he was obliged to carry out work on the maintenance of cattle and could not actually move freely.

"Currently, the victims are receiving the necessary medical care, they are being treated in a medical facility. <...> The court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention against the accused," the Telegram channel of the regional department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation said.

The Investigative Committee began checking reports of the detention of two men in slavery on April 6, and a criminal case was opened on the same day. It was established that violations of the rights to freedom, labor, freedom and dignity of the individual were committed against men aged 30 and 51.
