An electric stove crushed a child to death in Shchelkovo

A child died after an electric stove fell on him in Shchelkovo, Moscow region. This was reported on April 8 in the press service of the GSU of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in the Moscow region.
"On April 7, 2025, in the evening, the body of a boy born in 2023 was found without signs of life in the kitchen of an apartment in Shchelkovo. On this fact, the investigative authorities of the GSU of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow region immediately opened a criminal case under Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence")," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.
It is specified that in the apartment where the mother and child were, an electric stove fell on the baby, who was left unattended. The child died from his injuries.
Investigators and criminologists conducted an inspection of the scene, and an electric stove was seized. A medical forensic examination has been appointed," the press service of the department concluded.
Earlier, on April 6, the Moscow prosecutor's office reported that a five-year-old boy fell from the third floor onto the canopy of an apartment building on Teatralnaya Street in Shcherbinka, Novomoskovskiy district, and then fell to the ground from there. A procedural check is being conducted on the fact of the incident.
