A woman was injured in a gas explosion in an apartment in Lipetsk

In Lipetsk, a 40-year-old woman was injured in a gas explosion in an apartment building. According to the preliminary version, the cause of the incident was a violation of the rules of operation of gas equipment.

The incident occurred on the night of April 8 on Mechanizatorov Street. According to GOROD48, the woman lit a cigarette in the apartment on the ground floor when the gas was turned on on the stove. As a result of the explosion, the balcony was damaged, and the wallpaper in the apartment was damaged.

The victim was taken to the intensive care unit of the burn center. The woman was diagnosed with third degree burns on 18% of her body surface.

An investigation is underway into the incident.
