Ukrainian fraudsters stole $267,000 from the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and volunteers for the purchase of drones for the army. This was announced by the country's police on April 8.

It is clarified that the attackers registered a fake person as an individual entrepreneur and supplied the victims with trial batches of drones at low prices. After that, they offered to order large batches of UAVs with full prepayment, and then cut off communication and blocked customer contacts.

During the searches, 53 drones, 152 silver bars and almost $740 thousand in various currencies were seized from the members of the group, in addition to the already mentioned $267 thousand. At the moment, three suspects have been charged with fraud on a particularly large scale.

On April 7, a resident of Kazakhstan tried to transfer $400 to a fraudster who posed as Canadian actor Keanu Reeves. According to her, she started communicating with the user six months ago. A week ago, he made a request to her because he found himself in a difficult life situation. However, the woman was told at the bank that the specified account was unclear.
