Three suspects of desecrating the Eternal Flame were detained in Cheboksary.

Police officers detained three suspects in the desecration of the Eternal Flame at the monument of military glory in Cheboksary. This was reported on April 8 on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Chuvash Republic.
"Information has spread about young people drinking beer and scattering garbage at the Eternal Flame on the monument of Military Glory in the capital of Chuvashia. The teenagers did not respond to the comments of eyewitnesses, they were rude to passers—by," the message says.
The ministry noted that the police quickly responded to the incident, as a result they were able to detain three defendants. All materials on the case will be sent to the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Chuvashia.
On April 2, the head of the Khorolsky Municipal District, Alexei Gubaidullin, said that unknown people had desecrated the graves of soldiers who died during a special military operation in the Primorsky Territory. He also stressed that the vandals had damaged monuments not only to military personnel, but also to civilians. A criminal case has been opened.
