Shakman Motors has prepared a plan to eliminate claims from Rosstandart and is ready to launch a recall campaign that will involve both new and operated trucks. This is reported by a correspondent of Izvestia from a press conference of the Russian distributor.

The company said that Rosstandart had identified inconsistencies in the Shacman truck, which led to the suspension of vehicle type approval from February 7 of this year. At the same time, the technical claims were not to a new car, but to a private car in 2023, which was already in service.

"Restrictive measures against Shacman create a negative effect not only for the company, but for the entire industry, weakening competition and worsening conditions for Russian carriers," Shakman Motors stressed.

On February 12, Rosstandart announced the recall of the OTC for Shacman SX3258 trucks. The reason is related to the inconsistency of this dump truck model with a number of mandatory requirements for vehicles identified during inspections. We are talking about noise limits, rear anti-rollback and side protection devices, and so on. Sales and imports of the model were banned.

Owners of Shacman SX3258 trucks, whose sale and import in Russia were stopped after the recall of the OTC for this model, can continue to use these dump trucks.
