Immortal Regiment march to be held in Serbia

In honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Serbia will hold a march of the Immortal Regiment. This was announced by the Serbian Minister responsible for international economic cooperation, Nenad Popovic.
"The Immortal Regiment of Serbia movement has been held for the ninth year and has become part of the cultural identity of our country. This is an expression of deep respect and memory that binds generations and our peoples," he told TASS.
Popovich added that Russia and Serbia have been united for centuries and both countries defeated Nazi Germany in World War II. The minister added that today it is important to remember the lessons of history and preserve the unity of the Serbian and Russian peoples against the background of the fact that "Nazi ideologies and xenophobia are rearing their heads again."
On March 22, it became known that Serbian leader Aleksandar Vucic, during his visit to Moscow on May 9, would hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin after the celebrations dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory.
