- The Federal Penitentiary Service denied reports of a buffet in honor of Yefremov's release on parole.

On April 8, the Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN) of Russia in the Belgorod region informed Izvestia that information that actor Mikhail Yefremov was organizing a buffet for prisoners in IK-4 before they were released on parole was not true.
"The Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Belgorod region informs that information published in a number of media outlets and Telegram channels about the alleged organization of a buffet in a correctional facility by M. Yefremov does not correspond to reality," the department said.
Earlier, Telegram channels reported that the artist plans to celebrate his release with a buffet, where the presence of prisoners with whom the artist has developed friendly relations is expected.
Yefremov's lawyer, Yuri Padalko, said on March 24 that the actor would be released from prison on April 9, and then he would treat a lung disease. In addition, on April 24, the Alekseevsky District Court of the Belgorod region granted the artist's petition for parole. Yefremov was banned from driving vehicles and changing his place of residence without warning until the end of his actual sentence.
The actor served half of his sentence and has been eligible to apply for early release for almost a year. Without him, the 61-year-old actor, who is experiencing health problems, would not have been able to be released before 2027.
