A criminal case has been opened in the Khabarovsk Territory against a woman who left her six-month-old daughter in a snowdrift in the village of Gorny. This was reported on April 8 in the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.
"A young girl was left unattended by her mother in low temperature conditions, which led to her removal from the family. In addition, the woman leads an antisocial lifestyle and improperly brings up her son," the department's Telegram channel clarifies.
A criminal case has been opened against the mother on the grounds of a crime under Article 125 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Abandonment in danger"). The girl was discovered and rescued by passers-by, now she is in a specialized organization for children, her life is not in danger.
The Prosecutor's office of the Khabarovsk Territory began checking the activities of bodies and institutions of the system for the prevention of neglect and juvenile delinquency. The conditions of upbringing and living of children will also be checked.
Earlier, on April 1, a 15-year-old boy was detained in the Moscow region, who threw his newborn baby into a dumpster. The young man is suspected of attempted murder (Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The baby was hospitalized in the hospital, his life and health are not in danger.
