A policeman wounded in an attack on a traffic police post has died in Chechnya.

One of the policemen, who was seriously injured during an attack on a traffic police post in the city of Achkhoy-Martan in the Chechen Republic, died from his injuries. This was announced on Monday, April 8, by the press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.

"One of the policemen died as a result of his injuries. The attacker's actions were stopped, and he was eliminated by return fire," the agency's website reported.
