Police seized almost 1 kg of herbal drug from a car in the Vologda region

In the Vologda region, the transport police found and seized over 900 grams of marijuana disguised as cobblestones. This was announced on April 8 by the Russian Interior Ministry.
According to the agency, law enforcement officers stopped a foreign car on the Spasskoe—Golubkovo highway. There were two young men from the Arkhangelsk region in the car, they were 19 and 20 years old.
"During the inspection of the car, law enforcement officers found and seized four bundles of thick paper on the mat behind the driver's seat, inside of which there were over 900 grams of marijuana. The drug was packaged in single doses," the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation says.
In addition, during searches at the place of residence of the detainees, several kilograms of crystalline and powdery substances were found, as well as equipment for packing and packaging. All the seized substances have been sent for examination.
The department stressed that the attackers intended to sell drugs in a contactless way on the territory of the Vologda and Arkhangelsk regions. A criminal case has been opened against them under Part 3 of Article 30 ("Preparation for a crime and attempted crime") and paragraph "d" of Part 4 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Illegal production, sale or transfer of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances"). The suspects are in custody.
On March 28, law enforcement agencies liquidated two drug laboratories in the Moscow region that produced 1.5 million doses of drugs per month. The police stopped a foreign car with 4 kg of crystalline substance and detained the driver and passenger. In total, more than 200 kg of mephedrone worth over 800 million rubles were seized at black market prices. A criminal case has been opened against the suspects.
