A veteran of the SVO organized a sambo section for children in Pskov

Kamil, a veteran of the Special military operation (SVO), organized a SAMBO section in Pskov for children, other veterans, people with disabilities, and anyone else. This was told to Izvestia by the People's Front.

Kamil is 27 years old, and he lost his leg during one of the combat missions in the Luhansk region. Doctors managed to save his knee joint and install a prosthesis. Now the veteran lives in Pskov, where he managed to become one of the initiators of the creation of an adaptive sports school, consisting of 10 playgrounds: sitting volleyball, shooting, archery, powerlifting, sambo and other areas.

"In one lesson, I did exercises with the children, ran with the ninth graders and realized that their physical fitness was lame. I thought I should fix it. I've always had a dream of studying with children. Now I'm teaching them how to fight," Kamil said.

He added that initially the children came to study with him in the section "from scratch", they did not know how to do anything, but after intensive training, the result began to appear. The parents of Kamil's players say they do not intend to look for another coach if he leaves.

In addition, the veteran regularly organizes various events in hospitals, helps victims by bringing them funds for rehabilitation, and also attracts partners and sponsors.

Kamil plans to continue developing his school, expand it, and create various new directions, including winter ones. He also intends to work on projects and grants that will improve the sections.

At a meeting of the supervisory board of the Movement of the First at the Rossiya National Center on March 26, Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked veterans of the special operation to protect Donbass for their contribution to the upbringing of the younger generation. The President noted that it is very important to grow up with examples of valor and love for the Motherland.
