Military personnel of the Vostok group of forces told about the liberation of the village of Dneproenergia in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) from militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). On April 8, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation showed footage of the combat work of the Russian military.

According to the ministry, the command of the Ukrainian militants left their positions without material supplies, abandoning the mobilized soldiers. So, in battle, the enemy lost up to 160 of its fighters, five field artillery guns, two armored combat vehicles, three vehicles, including two 155-millimeter Caesar self-propelled artillery units made in France and two Ukrainian Bogdana self-propelled guns.

"The enemy abandoned his mobilized men with a minimum supply of provisions, ordering them to hold their positions until the end. When we arrived, many handed over their weapons and came out with their hands up. They were glad to see us — their command had not even planned an evacuation. They just ordered us to sit and hold our positions until the very end," said a Russian soldier of the assault unit with the call sign Kot.

At the same time, tank troops played an important role in the liberation of Dneproenergia, whose task included not only fire support for attack aircraft, but also overcoming minefields.

"The weather played into our hands: the enemy simply did not see our cars. Visibility was zero — snow, fog, rain. Their intelligence did not detect us, so the attack turned out to be sudden. Yes, the minefields added risk, but we maneuvered carefully, avoiding dangerous areas. The main thing is that we completed the task without losses," explained the tanker with the call sign Shakhter.

On March 12, it became known about the liberation of the settlements of Dneproenergia and Novomarkovo in the DPR. The published footage of the Russian Ministry of Defense shows how the Russian army defeats enemy manpower, as well as armored vehicles and ammunition depots of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
