Trump announced his approach to the goal of resolving the Ukrainian conflict

The United States is negotiating with the Russian and Ukrainian sides, moving closer to the goal of resolving the conflict. This was announced on Monday, April 7, by US President Donald Trump during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House.
"We're meeting with Russia, with Ukraine, and we're kind of getting closer to the goal," Trump said, adding that he was "not happy" with the ongoing bombing over the past week.
The American president also explained the absence of additional US trade duties against Russia. According to him, this is due to the fact that Washington currently practically does not conduct trade with Moscow.
"The reason we don't talk about tariffs with Russia is that we do almost no business with it," Trump said.
Trump announced on March 25 that great progress had been made with both Russia and Ukraine at the talks in Riyadh. According to him, the discussions are progressing positively.
Negotiations between the Russian and American expert groups in Riyadh took place on March 24. They lasted 12 hours. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, in turn, noted that Russia and the United States would continue contacts after the talks in Riyadh.
