On April 7, a light and music show was held in Derbent, Dagestan, in honor of the record of Alexander Ovechkin, a Russian forward of the Washington Capitals hockey club, who broke Wayne Gretzky's record for goals in the regular seasons of the National Hockey League (NHL).

"Residents and guests of the ancient city were able to see footage of the goals of the great Russian hockey player Alexander Ovechkin on the country's largest water screen. Congratulations and we are proud!" the city administration said in a Telegram channel message.

The city's Musical Fountain performed a version of the song "I'm already 18", written and prepared by the performer, the leader of the band "Hands Up!" Sergey Zhukov specifically for the record. This song was chosen because Ovechkin likes to perform it during karaoke sessions.

Footage of various goals scored by a Russian hockey player was shown on the largest water screen of the Russian Federation.

Ovechkin scored his 895th goal in the NHL regular season a day earlier in a match against the New York Islanders. Thus, he broke the record of Canadian Gretzky, who scored 894 goals.

The Russian hockey player was congratulated on the record by the TV channels of the National Media Group and Sergey Zhukov. The performer dedicated a clip to the hockey player's favorite song from the repertoire of the musical group to the historical achievement with a modified text dedicated to the record goal.
