In Russia, there is a decrease in the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza, 774 thousand cases of infection were recorded during the week, which is 8.9% less than in the previous week. This was reported on April 8 in Rospotrebnadzor.
"Following the results of the 14th week in the Russian Federation, there is a continued decrease in the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza. The number of cases amounted to 774 thousand cases per week, which is 8.9% less than in the previous week. The number of hospitalizations also decreased by 9.1%," the ministry said.
The incidence of COVID-19 has also decreased. A total of 2.2 thousand cases of infection were recorded, which is 9% lower than last week.
It is specified that according to the results of laboratory tests, the proportion of influenza in the structure of positive findings was 54.9%. Influenza B virus prevails among influenza viruses, while MS viruses and rhinoviruses are the most common among non-influenza viruses.
In addition, according to Rospotrebnadzor, in order to prevent the spread of various infections, 41 schools and 47 preschool institutions were closed in the Russian Federation last week.
On March 31, Rospotrebnadzor announced that no new viruses or viruses with significant mutations had been detected in Russia.
