Ak Bars beat Avtomobilist and reached the 1/4 finals of the Gagarin Cup

Ak Bars Kazan Hockey Club beat Avtomobilist from Yekaterinburg in the first round of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) playoffs and reached the quarterfinals of the Gagarin Cup. The match on April 7 ended with a score of 2:1 in the second overtime.

Ilya Safonov (16th minute) and Kirill Semenov (84th minute) scored among the Ak Bars hockey players. Alexander Sharov scored a goal for the Yekaterinburg club (9th).

Ak Bars Kazan became the penultimate quarterfinalist of the Gagarin Cup. The last participant of the tournament will be determined on Tuesday, April 8, during the game "Salavat Yulaeva" with the club "Siberia".

The Railwaymen are going to the second round, and the fight continues in the remaining KHL playoff pairs.
