- The mother, who suspected the substitution of a baby in the hospital, was informed of the result of a DNA examination

Daria Luzina, a resident of Yakutia, who assumes that her baby was replaced in the hospital 16 years ago, was informed about the results of a DNA examination of the body of a buried child, but they refused to give her a biomaterial for another independent examination. She told about it on April 7 in an interview with Izvestia.
"The DNA examination of the buried child was carried out, and the investigator informed me by phone that the child belongs to me. However, at my request, they refused to issue the biomaterial for independent examination <...> as they conduct independent examination themselves at the investigative committee in Khabarovsk. I don't have any documents in my hands yet," the woman shared.
Specialists from the headquarters of the Investigative Committee (IC) in Yakutia exhumed the child's body in March. Luzina's father was buried in a grave on the lower level, the coffin with the child's body was on the upper level, the committee's press service said.
Daria discovered that the grave had been excavated from the side where her late father's feet were, which caused her to doubt the authenticity of the biomaterial that had been taken for DNA testing, the press service added.
"The SU IC of Yakutia conducted a DNA examination, comparing the indicators of Daria and the exhumed body, and concluded that the buried child was Luzina's own daughter," the agency concluded, confirming that the woman had requested material for an independent examination, but this request was refused.
On March 14, Luzina said that she found out the sex of the child from the documents of the morgue. She claims that she gave birth to a healthy boy, but she was given the body of a girl with pathologies. The woman reported that in the social networks of Irina Evsikova, the doctor who delivered the baby, she came across a photo with a child who looked like herself. After the whole situation, Luzina wrote a statement so that the medical worker would be held accountable.
Later, on March 20, the prosecutor's office of the Tomponsky district of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) began checking after the Izvestia story about a possible substitution of a child in the hospital. An assessment will be given of compliance with healthcare legislation, as well as the legality of the actions of the staff of the medical institution and other issues.
