Film director Petrukhin was sentenced to four years in a bribery case.

The Dorogomilovsky District Court of Moscow has sentenced film director Alexei Petrukhin to four years in prison on charges of attempted mediation in bribery. This was announced on April 7 by the official Telegram channel of the courts of general jurisdiction of the capital.
"The court found that Petrukhin A.A. committed an attempt to mediate in bribery, that is, deliberate actions of a person aimed at directly transferring a bribe on behalf of the bribe-giver and otherwise facilitating the bribe-giver and the recipient in reaching and implementing an agreement between them on receiving and giving a bribe, for committing knowingly illegal actions by an organized group, on a particularly large scale. However, the crime was not completed due to circumstances beyond Petrukhin's control," the report said.
Thus, Petrukhin was sentenced to imprisonment for a period of four years and served his sentence in a strict regime penal colony with a fine.
Earlier, in September 2024, the Cinema Foundation filed two lawsuits against the Russian Film Group film company, headed by Petrukhin, for more than 220 million rubles and 90 million rubles, respectively. The lawsuits were related to non—fulfillment of obligations for two films - "The Secret of the Dragon Seal" and "On the Threshold of Immortality: a Journey to India."
