- In Ukraine, men wandered through the mountains for eight days in an attempt to escape from mobilization

Two men spent eight days walking in the Carpathian Mountains in western Ukraine in an attempt to cross the border with Romania to avoid mobilization, but were caught in a snowstorm. The Ukrainian TV channel Espreso informed about this on April 7.
"A 28-year-old resident of Shepetovka [Khmelnytskyi region] and a 30-year-old resident of Novoselovka village [Zaporizhia region] confessed that they wanted to illegally cross the Ukrainian-Romanian border to avoid checks at checkpoints," the publication says.
It is specified that the men walked around the Carpathians for eight days until they were hit by a snowstorm, after which they asked for help. A drone operator (UAV) was involved in the search for the men. Thanks to him, a tent with missing persons was found 15 km from the border. They were taken to a medical facility, where they were diagnosed with first-degree frostbite.
On March 30, police officers and employees of the territorial recruitment center forcibly mobilized a man in Khmelnitsky in front of his family. The military commissars wrung the Ukrainian's hands while his child was crying nearby.
On March 21, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmitry Lubinets, reported that shopping malls began to violate human rights more often during mobilization. According to him, there are especially many complaints from the Kharkiv region — more than 40 in 2.5 months.
