Russia discusses prospects for military cooperation with Bangladesh

Deputy Head of the Russian Defense Ministry, Colonel General Alexander Fomin, discussed with the Commander of the Bangladesh Ground Forces, General Wacker Uz Zaman, the prospects for military cooperation. This was announced on April 7 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
"On April 7, 2025, a working meeting was held in Moscow between the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Colonel General Alexander Fomin, and the Commander of the Ground Forces of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, General Wacker Uz Zaman, as part of his working visit to the Russian Federation," the department said in a Telegram message.
During the conversation, the parties expressed a desire to cooperate in the military field and strengthen friendly relations between the armies and peoples of Russia and Bangladesh.
Earlier, on March 29, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin met with Myanmar's leadership and discussed military and military-technical cooperation. He recalled that this year marks the 77th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Myanmar. During this time, according to him, the countries have established multisectoral cooperation.
