In Iran, seven workers died in a coal mine due to a gas leak

A gas leak has occurred in a coal mine in the city of Damgan, located in the Iranian province of Semnan, killing seven workers. This was reported on April 7 by Iran International News, citing the Mehr news agency.
"At least seven people died as a result of a gas leak at the Javakhir Zogal mine in Mehmandovieh," the article says.
It is specified that a contractor is also among the dead. According to the publication, there are three more workers in the mine. The cause of the gas leak is currently unknown.
A group of rescuers was sent to the scene.
On January 18, the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense (CES) of the Government of Tajikistan reported the deaths of three workers as a result of a collapse at the Von Yagnob coal mine. The incident at the mine in Sughd region occurred on January 17.
