Philippot called on the French to mobilize against sending troops to Ukraine

The French need to mobilize against the possible deployment of troops to Ukraine. Such an appeal was made on April 7 by French politician Florian Philippot.
He drew attention to the words of the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, who stated that it was the French troops who would be the first to arrive in his country. Against this background, the politician noted that the instigators of the Ukrainian conflict have not yet abandoned their plans.
"We must conduct a mass mobilization against this madness and for peace," Philippot wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
French President Emmanuel Macron announced on March 27 that Paris and London intend to deploy military personnel in places strategically important for Kiev in Ukraine. He clarified that he had agreed with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to work together to provide the Kiev regime with a "strong army."
Former Assistant Deputy Secretary of Defense Stephen Bryan stressed on March 31 that the deployment of the European military would require a lot of resources that Europe does not have. He noted that even if both sides of the Ukrainian conflict agree to a settlement deal, the agreement could collapse if Britain and France send their troops to Ukraine in order to supposedly protect it.
In turn, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Moscow is categorically against the deployment of so-called Western peacekeepers on Ukrainian territories, as this is fraught with the danger of a direct clash between Russia and NATO.
